  • Jianmei Wang was born in Shuomen, Wenzhou, and grew up in Chengguan, Yueqing. In 1981, he graduated from Wenzhou University, and got a bachelor’s degree for Chinese Language and Literature. In 1984, he served as a teacher in Tibet under the State Education Commission, teaching Chinese Language and Educational Psychology at Lhasa Middle School and Normal School. In 1986, he studied for a master's degree in Literature and Art Psychology at Heilongjiang University and taught in the Chinese Department.

In 1992, he went to the United States and worked as a reporter for US CHINA PRESS. Later, he successfully obtained permanent residency in the US via the Outstanding Talent Visa (O-1). He founded Best in Nature with his wife Pingwei Pan and served as the president. Other memberships and roles include: Honorary President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Wenzhou Fellowship in the US, Honorary President of the US Zhejiang Economic and Trade and Cultural Association, Honorary President of the North American Wenzhou University Alumni Association, Honorary President of the Southern California Chinese Association, Visiting Guest Professor of Wenzhou Medical University, and Visiting Professor of Wenzhou University.

Since the 1980s, Jianmei Wang has published many books, totaling over 2 million words. Some titles include: " A Little Chinese Girl and Her Daddy’s America Adventures" ​​and " The Millionaire’s Villa " (long novel) via China Writers Publishing House, "" A Chinese Girl and Her Dad’s True stories in LA " via Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House. He also published many books in the US, such as " Dreams Come True, 100 Outstanding Chinese in USA", " The Golden Roof of the Budala Palace", " America: My Home, Your Country", " Walking & Writing: A Collection of Stories & Essays", “We, the Dream Chasers” (Jianmei Wang acted as editor in chief). Jianmei Wang also published photography books such as "A Tale of Two Photographers: A Couple‘’s Travel & The Stories Behind them” (co-authored with Pan Pingwei).
